11 Home Remedies for Acne Treatment

Acne is a skin problem identified by red pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, tender bumps etc on the skin specifically on face. It happens when hair follicles are choked with dead skin cells and oil discharge. Acne affects people of every age but it is the most common problem among teenagers. 54% of women are facing severe acne problems all over the world. The main cause of Acne problem is Genetics, irregular menses, jerky meals, hormonal changes, friction on the skin etc. Acne can cause stress, anxiety, depression and can reduce your self-confidence. Different treatments and medications are available for Acne solution. You can get rid of acne problem with different remedies and easy medication.

Here are some effective Home Remedies I tried to battle my Acne problem:

1.Medicated soap

For those who have severe acne problems, they can use medicated soaps formulated specifically for their skin. You can buy any over the counter medicated soap which suits your skin type. I also have acne problem. I personally use different medicated soaps which help me in getting rid of acne. Acne Aid Bar is a medicated soap for the people who have oily skin type and acne problem. It removes dirt, acne marks, impurities and immoderate sebum from the skin. It cleanses the skin rigorously. Tetmosol is a medicated soap used for the treatment of acne.

2. Creams

There are many popular creams in the market which are used for the treatment of acne. Xelite Skin Brightening Cream is a special formulation planned to lighten skin complexion and for removing acne spots. It moisturizes and rejuvenates the skin as well. Benclin Gel is a unique formulation designed to treat different types of acne vulgaris. I personally used these two creams regularly on my face once a day for a week and I found it really effective for acne treatment. It removed the acne spots from my face and lightened the color of my skin. I also apply Betnovate Cream on acne marks.

3. Powder

Johnson’s Baby Powder or Prickly Heat Powder is used for different purposes but it can also be used for acne treatment. I have used these powders on the red skin pimples as a home remedy for acne treatments. They can help reduce severe pain of acne. It also reduces the size of pimple.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar

It is very popular and very liked in the natural health remedies. Vinegar is used to kill different types of bacteria. A kind of bacteria named Propionibacterium acnes comes up with acne. Apple Cider Vinegar includes different acids which are used to kill Propionibacterium acnes. I personally used this for the treatment of my acne and it is really effective.

5. Toothpaste

I used a clean sponge to put a flat layer of Sensodyne Toothpaste on the acne of skin. I let it dry overnight. It removed the red pimple in two days. It is one of the cheapest acne treatments.

6. Rose Water

It is used to remove acne marks from skin. I used to apply it on a full face twice a day and let it dry. It moisturizes and brightens the skin as well.

7. Coffee Mask

Coffee Mask for Acne Treatment

It is very easy and helpful in removing acne scars. Add a teaspoon of coffee, one tablespoon of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, pinch of turmeric and 2 table spoons of milk in a bowl. Mix it well. Apply this paste on your acne marks using a sponge or swab. Let it dry for 15 minutes. Wash it with cold water.

8. Honey Mask

Add two tablespoons of honey and three table spoons of yogurt in a bowl and mix it well. Apply this mask with swab on your face for five minutes and let it dry. Wash it with cold water.

9. Aloe Vera

Take out fresh Aloe Vera from an Aloe Vera plant. Gently apply the gel directly on acne marks in night and let it applied overnight. Wash your face with fresh water in the morning.

10. Diet

Diet

Add fish oil supplement in your diet. It affects the skin in many ways. It manages hydration, maintains oil production, and prevents acne problems. I personally use oil and zinc supplements in my diet but adding too much supplements in your diet can show adverse effects which can cause stomach pain. So try to take supplements in an appropriate quantity.

11. Coconut Oil

I used to apply a thin and even layer of coconut oil on acne areas of my face and moisturize it gently. It also helps in removing acne marks.

Acne is a common and severe problem which can be solved by following these easy and natural remedies. Fortunately, these remedies can be helpful. However, you have to seek advice from a dermatologist if u have a critical acne vulgaris.
